The body is oval, with cauliflower-like tubercles, and two longitudinal rows of slightly larger tubercles in a median location. Color light-brown with darker brown spots. Rhinophores (not show in photo) of lighter color. Retractile gills in posterior quarter of dorsal surface. The species is named after the Brazilian Guinea Pig, Cavia aperea Erxlenben, 1777, or, in Brazilian general language, pre&#225. The 1.5-inch slug was found by Lorin Buckner on seagrass flats near the Sanibel Causeway.
