Family Lucinidae
Shell size to 9 mm; shell oblique-oval, beaks pointing anteriorly, sculpture of fine commarginal lines. Shell margin finely serrated. Internal lining of valves sometimes "delaminated." Color off-white to cream-white. Shells in photos were collected by Susan J. Hewitt, loose valves in the main image from Turner Beach on Captiva, in December 2021, the valve in second image on Blind Pass, Sanibel, in December 2014.
