Shell size to 50 mm; shell moderately inflated, posterior end bent to right, not elongate as in Macoploma tenta. Sculpture of fine, irregular, concentric growth lines. Periostracum thin, brown. Color white.

Pallial sinus closely approaching the anterior adductor muscle scar. Adductor muscle scars well impressed. Color generally white, sometimes with yellowish tinges.
Read MoreShell size to 10 mm; shell thin, elongate, translucent. Sculpture of very fine growth lines. Internally with characteristic oblique lines and two radial thickenings at posterior end. Color translucent-white, sometimes suffused with pink or orangish-red, juveniles almost transparent. A few shells in the Shell Museum collection such as the one in the photos are juveniles.
