Atlantic Semele

Shell size to 40 mm; shell compressed, thin, orbicular. Sculpture of fine growth lines crosser by finer radial lines. Umbones almost central, pointing forward. Lunule small. Color ivory-white, internally yellow with reddish-brown or mauve speckles.
